The communications coordinator oversees communication and public relations activities, including:
- Updating communications plans
- Organizing public relations activities and events
- Internet presence: website, social media, mailing lists, online videos
- Issuing press releases and newsletters
- Arranging for interviews.
- Conduct the correspondence of the organization on behalf of the Board of Directors
- Oversee production and distribution of newsletter and other communications/publications
- Creating press releases, press-kits, and other media materials
- Developing promotional materials
- Keeping website current with regular information – gathering, postings and updates.
- As a team lead, supervising, coaching, motivating, and training members of the Communications Team.
