Volunteer Position – Communications Coordinator

The communications coordinator oversees communication and public relations activities, including:

  • Updating communications plans
  • Organizing public relations activities and events
  • Internet presence: website, social media, mailing lists, online videos
  • Issuing press releases and newsletters
  • Arranging for interviews.
  • Conduct the correspondence of the organization on behalf of the Board of Directors
  • Oversee production and distribution of newsletter and other communications/publications
  • Creating press releases, press-kits, and other media materials
  • Developing promotional materials
  • Keeping website current with regular information – gathering, postings and updates.
  • As a team lead, supervising, coaching, motivating, and training members of the Communications Team.
